Foothill Mercantile's 50th Anniversary!

How very exciting it is to have been in business in this community for 50 years! You have made this major milestone of a Golden Anniversary possible for us and we appreciate the support more than you know! While we have given back to the community over these many years, we'd like to give some more and celebrate this occasion by hearing your stories, sharing ours, give out some truly fabulous prizes, and have a store wide sale. This is the landing page for all the information about this celebration!

Memory Lane
We would love to hear about your stories and memories about the store over the years! What was your favorite toy? Gift? Did you or your kids have a nickname for the store? Some nicknames we have heard are "The train store", or "The sticker store", or "The stuffed animal place". We wouldn't mind seeing photos as well! Your stories mean so much for us to hear, and if you are willing to allow us to share online - website and/or social media- please let us know! We can redact any personal information before sharing online. We will not share any personal stories, memories, or information publicly unless you have given us clear permission to do so.

The History Window
This will be a fun and special window display about the store's history - you will get to see images of our beginnings as a Hardware Store and the evolution to where we are now! See images of the construction of the Toy Department! You can see some of the actual hardware, tools, fishing supplies, and toys that we used to sell. And... it will also be our ISpy window! The window will be installed by August 11th.

Our usual ISpy window will be taken up notch just for this special occasion! Starting on August 11th, our history window display will have a hidden object* to find and once you spot it, come inside to tell us where you found it, and fill out a raffle slip to be entered into the raffle for a $50 gift certificate in honor of our 50 years!

The last day to enter is September 20th. The winner will be drawn on September 21st. Participants need not be present to win. Winner will be contacted directly and announced on social media. There is no cost to enter the ISpy window raffle!

Get ready for a treasure hunt for the biggest prize we have ever offered - a $500 gift certificate! Starting August 11th, we will hide tiny, shiny golden bows throughout the store and when you find one, bring it up to the register and fill out a raffle slip to be entered into the Golden Anniversary Raffle! After a bow has been found, we will hide it again in a different location- you never know where you will find it! We have a limit of one bow per person per day.
